Splish, splash, ahhhh these were the noises we could hear as we paddled down the rough, rocky river. The rocks were cold and slippery. I heard Hania shout “DUCK!!! Watch out for the tree.” We all ducked, the tree was clear paddle, paddle, paddle Hania repeated over and over all I could hear was her voice repeating its self. We paddled to the bank to wait for the other teams. ‘SMACK!!’ what was that, ‘OH NO!!’ it was Jessica! Jessica had been tossed out of the raft. The tension grew as we tried to get her back on board. Hania threw out the bright yellow rope to Jessica, she struggled but caught it. She was then dragged towards us with the roaring rapid hauling her under; we could hear the faint screams of Jessica as she was continuously being dunked under. The consistent teamwork from our group got Jessica back on board, nice and safe. She was a little bit wet and sore but that was about it no serious damage was done. Our group was extremely proud of our group effort and awesome teamwork. We were all relieved to have Jessica back on board and safe.
